All of our pergolas are built from red western cedar, typically with 6×6 posts set in 24” concrete with 2×8 bands and dividers bolted at corners with ½” bolts, 2×6 rafters with decorative tails, 2×2 shade top with 2” spacing. Also available are 8×8 posts, 2×10 or 2×12 bands & dividers, 2×8 rafters, and 2×2 spacing can be adjusted to desired spacing, tail designs can be different shapes. Larger posts and rafters are usually on larger pergolas with wider spans.
In addition to shade type pergolas, we offer polycarbon roofing, same basic construction built on a 2”/12” pitch for proper water runoff, 1×4 treated slats on 1” centers in lieu of 2×2 to screw down bronze (smoke colored) ¼” polycarbon sheets, which are custom cut to length & width specifications.
